The Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy teaches you to do hypnosis rather than recite it.

Most training hands you a script and hopes the person in front of you turns out to be a good subject. We start from a different premise. Trance is not a gift that visits the naturally suggestible few. It is the following of instructions, and anyone who follows the instructions goes into trance. That makes the hypnotist an educator rather than a performer, and it makes the real skill flexibility: reading the person in front of you and adapting in the moment. There are no bad subjects, only inflexible hypnotists.

So you learn both halves of the craft here. The conversational side that Milton Erickson was famous for, and the direct side, because commanding the full continuum is what lets you adapt to anyone. You learn to generate hypnotic language live, so you never need a script. And you practice on real people in live rooms running all week, because reps are what turn knowledge into skill.

If this is your first purchase from us

Our membership platform sends you a separate email with a link to set your password. It arrives within a few minutes of your purchase. Follow that link, choose a password, and you are in.

If you signed up moments ago and have no login yet

If you closed the browser before finishing checkout, meaning you neither accepted nor declined the annual offer that appears right after the $1 trial, your order sits in a pending state for about two hours. After that it clears on its own and your account is created. This is normal, and your access is on its way. If more than two hours have passed, email support with the name and email address you used.

If you used the wrong email address

Email support@mikemandelhypnosis.com with the correct address and a short note. The team can move your account over. The trial clock cannot be reset, so get in touch as soon as you notice.

When you log in you land on Your Training Library. It is the home base that holds every course in your membership, and each one is its own tile.

The library is not the Academy. It is the shelf the Academy sits on. To get into the training you click Explore on the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy tile. This one step is the thing most new members miss.

The circular icon at the top right opens your account menu. This is where billing lives.

Two things on the library page worth knowing about

At the top of the library there is a panel headed Need Help Using the Library? Click to Expand. It opens a short video that walks you through the page. Below that, a Resume Course widget drops you back wherever you last left off, which saves hunting for your place.

Seven days is long enough to actually do hypnosis on somebody, not just watch videos about it. Here is how to spend them.

Why Start Here matters more than it looks

Start Here is twelve short items and the order is deliberate. A welcome from Mike and Chris, then ten Quick Wins, then a guided tour of the platform. The Quick Wins are the point. Each one is something you can run on a friend tonight, they take a few minutes, and as Mike puts it, this is not hypnosis but it is hypnotic, and you literally cannot fail at them. The members who stay are overwhelmingly the ones who did something real with hypnosis in their first week rather than only watching.

What happens at the end of the seven days

The system attempts the monthly rate automatically unless you cancel. You can cancel yourself at any point during the trial in the billing portal at secure.mikemandelhypnosis.com/manage, with no need to email anyone. If you cancel inside the seven days you are not charged. Occasionally a first charge takes a moment to settle, or the first attempt fails and a retry succeeds shortly after, and access blinks off in between. That is a processing delay rather than a permanent problem. Email support and the team will restore it.

Watch the short welcome video, then work through the Start Here section before Lesson 1. It is twelve short items, being a welcome from Mike and Chris, ten Quick Wins you can run on a friend tonight, and a guided tour of the platform. The Quick Wins exist so that you do something real with hypnosis in your first week rather than only watching videos.

The sidebar is your main navigation

Click the Menu button on the left edge to open it.

From the sidebar you can:

• Return to your Library or the course Home Page using the links at the top.
• Open My Favorites, which holds any lesson you have starred.
• Move through Start Here, then Lesson 1 to Lesson 24, in order and at your own pace.
• Scroll past Lesson 24 to reach Certification Testing and all the bonus material.

To find something fast, use the magnifying glass at the top right of the header and type a keyword. It jumps straight to the lesson.

This is where knowledge turns into skill, and it is the part new members ask about most. Reach it from the Practice Rooms link at the top of any page, or the Practice Rooms tile in your Library.

Two kinds of room

The Main Practice Room is the central gathering space. Through most daytime hours a facilitator keeps breakout rooms open, so you can move between smaller groups and meet other members much as you would in a real classroom. Outside hosted hours, or when a room sits idle too long, Zoom closes the breakouts automatically. The Main Practice Room itself is always available, host or no host.

Satellite Rooms are separate spaces open 24 hours a day with no host needed. They are ideal when you are meeting a partner or a small group and want a quieter space outside hosted hours. There are five, being the Milton Erickson Room, the Dave Elman Room, the James Braid Room, the Marilyn vos Savant Room and the Derek Balmer Room.

Do I need to find a partner myself?

No. Facilitated sessions run throughout the week and you can simply join one.

Will I be put on the spot?

Not at all. If you are new or nervous you are welcome to show up and watch until you feel ready. These are supportive rooms that mix demonstration with guided practice, and nobody is dragged into the middle.

Getting good answers out of it

• Be specific. Asking how do I do a rapid induction on a resistant client gets a sharper answer than tell me about inductions.
• Ask follow-ups. It remembers the conversation, so you can keep going deeper on one thread.
• Trust it to be straight with you. If something is not in the lessons it was trained on, it will say so rather than invent an answer.

   That section holds every module quiz and the final exam.

How the quizzes unlock

There is no time lock and no waiting period. The quizzes are available to you right away, including during the $1 trial. They unlock in sequence, so finishing the Lesson 1 quiz opens the Lesson 2 quiz, and so on through all 24.

So if a quiz looks locked, the reason is almost always that an earlier quiz in the sequence is unfinished. Work through them in order and the next one opens.

Passing

• Each of the 24 core lessons has a ten question multiple choice quiz, and the pass mark is 80%, which is 8 out of 10.
• You can retake a module quiz as often as you need, with no wait and no extra fee, because they are designed as preparation rather than as a trap.
• The Final Certification Exam opens once you have completed the Lesson 24 quiz, it is 100 questions, and the pass mark is 80% again.
• You are tested only on MMHA material, so focus on what the course teaches.

One thing worth knowing before you sit it. We give you your overall score, pass or fail, but not a question by question breakdown. That applies to the module quizzes too.

After you pass

The team audits your progress and issues your formal certificate of completion from the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy. We email you the details as soon as you pass, and we would love you to share it in MMHA Engage so we can celebrate with you.

Certification also makes you eligible for reciprocal membership with the International Certification Board of Coaches and Hypnotists, the ICBCH, and for membership in the International Hypnosis Association, the IHA, which recognizes MMHA as an approved training provider.

A charge that does not match the price

All MMH products are priced in US dollars. International cards convert to local currency automatically, so a charge that is a few dollars off the listed price is almost always your bank's conversion rate. Canadian customers may also see HST. Your exact invoice is in the billing portal.

If you cancel

Access to everything that comes with membership ends at the close of your billing cycle, meaning the course library, the Practice Rooms, the live events and MMHA Engage. Two things are worth separating out.

• Courses you bought outright before joining stay in your library permanently, and cancelling the membership does not take them away.
• Your certificate is yours forever, whatever your membership status.

There is no pause option, but you can rejoin whenever you are ready and your progress will still be there.
